The River and I

She flows like an honest song,
With the rhythm of life off and on.
Giving relief to millions,
She has not rested for past so many eons.

Her pearly azure blue eyes,
Have helped alike the fool and the wise.
Unfeigned she flows with her dance,
Creating infinite magic and romance.

Seeing her I feel,
My age is a short reel.
With not so much of burden,
No worries, I see her to be coen.

She washes all the malice,
Gulps it down like a cup of lees.
She is so incredibly tolerant,
Putting us humans down to shame's torrent.

The witness of births and deaths,
She is moving on with fresh breaths.
No alas and mournful sighs,
In her the suns set and also rise.

Love of young couples, fights of the old,
On her banks, it's only joy and all sorrows sold.
For she is meaning which we humans miss,
Every moment we should live like an innocent kiss.

Yes, she does brings unknown death knells,
But also in her meanders, can we ring joy's bells.
She is certainly not a mystery so tough to crack,
But a creation of Almighty who smiles, cries and comes back.

You and I

You and I,
Very unlike yet alike,
Waiting to be
We together, forever!

You and I,
Hand in hand,
Strolling on the blues,
With the calmness of togetherness.

You and I,
Front and behind,
Amid the honking gusts,
With my hand on your heart.

You and I,
On the flowery bench,
My locks on your shoulder,
So surreptitious from the worlds.

You and I,
Together yet alone,
Under the murky skies,
Scared of the unknown.

You and I,
On life's eternal sleep,
Where only mournings galore,
With dry eyes and a why.

You and I,
Singing and loving,
With a flute in a hand,
And a stick the next moment.

You and I,
Seeing the same dream,
With wits and courage,
Sailing the same boat.

You and I,
Ahead to the horizon,
Lost in our voyage,
To bind the unbound.

You and I,
On the opposite ends,
Still inseparable,
Like the two magnetic poles.

WIDOW WITH NO WHITE

Your laughter is a worldly facade; your smile is just a fake,
Your support is a mere stage performance just like winning the goodness race.

When you look into my eyes, I see the beauty of saints with no lies,
And there! A voice comes into my drum, shattering joy’s glory to glum.

There I have your touch, to feel the warmth of your affection,
The next second a blinding bolt of fires, to shred my heart into thin threads and burnt wires.

You are playing a game of revenge making my love more lame with every avenge,
I am losing the battle of life, this news hasn’t reached you but it is very rife.

Soon the doom shall ruin my cast, and the dummy of grief will reveal itself at the last,
It will be too late for you to retrace, my happiness on my torn and scary face.

My colors are all maligned, my thoughts too contorted to be untwined,
You are living right by my side- And yes, I am but a WIDOW WITH NO WHITE!

On The Death of Her Mother!

The sound of black silence,
Dethrones the giggles;
The heart shrinks to a point
And the eyes hold mute tears,
Shrieking aloud the story
Innocence is orphaned.

Under the clear sunny clime,
When the world basks in the sun,
She sits lonely on her bench of thoughts,
Struggling, fighting and striving hard;
Beginning a new race of joy with every Tomorrow,
Only to end up at the gates of the lethal Sorrow.

Amid the titters of the day,
She is lost finding her own way.
She wonders the reasons of life,
Why is glum cutting her soul with a vile knife?
Her laughter is deceived as soon as born,
There she returns in her blanket of the unknown dark.

Orphaned! Orphaned! Orphaned!
With no tender mother’s hand on her brow,
No gentle smile and no adoring heart,
She lies on the ground, with her brazen art,
Being attacked by dawn’s raw claws,
The gentle twilight is but a long venomous pause.

She Lost Even Her Loneliness!

A wandering lonely Cloud,
Not with a single drop of the blue-
She is laden with bruises,
Bruises of loneliness,
Solitary amid the sky’s heaven,
She stares at the din and hues below her.

There are seconds, though rare,
When she wants to be the nimbus lot,
Yet something pricks the red out of her,
A conversion from passion to bruise;
And there she bleeds only to the eyes of faith,
Raining red in the reign of grim and gloomy red.

Ever heard an anchor to a cloud?
Yes, this innocent Cloud has always been with one;
Knife for safety, and anchor for the cloud,
Hark! Piercing its own love unawares!
Wish the Cloud could break the chains,
And wander with her own swift gait!

The Cloud wants to go places,
Places full of dreams and charms;
Places where she could dance in her own colorful rain,
With flooding happiness all around.
She wants to be happy, in return she gets,
Is nothing but a pitch dark world!

The Cloud begs her anchor,
Not to hurt her so much;
The Anchor understands her so worldly,
Only to leave her once again all alone.
The Anchor is plaguing her,
With growing loneliness everyday.

Soon the Cloud will lose her fettered flight too,
She is growing- but feeble and fragile!
Soon the Cloud will lose her wishes too,
Colourful or black and white.
Soon she wants to see her dent,
Because that is what will be left as the only vent!

It will be a sad melodrama,
For the din, the hues below her.
It will be a mere tragedy for her anchor too.
But the hopes are tied only on one...
May be someday when it rains red again,
The cure to the bruises doesn't go in vain!

Creator's Inspiration Mime

The mad hours are over- it seems,
A serene calmness prevails;
Looks like the end of the world,
Beauty of newness herself unveils.

The face is the expression of expressionless,
The mind is sailing freely over the sea;
It is a great time to review,
And to allow your own self to be revealed.

I look into the deep eyes of horizon,
Wondering where to go at the next turning;
In the aisles of the sky, I am lost,
The misty clouds around me are humming.

The chasm of infinity is calling me aloud,
The colours of free creativity-redefining themselves;
There is a zest in my heart,
That is ready to explode the unexplored.

My Soul can't sit idle- food for creativity she needs,
I am yearning for colours to splash the sheets of sky;
Painting rainbows on the infinite canvas so wide and high,
Flying my bees and birds, higher than where the sun and the stars lie.

Amusing! It will be for the human eyes,
When it will be my creation's time;
When colours from my mighty heart's brush will be alive,
Our Creator's eyes with awe will seek an inspiration mime.

WOW...! This is for all the colour fans...!!!

I was really amazed by his painting ingenuity!

Happily alive forever...!

A white mist of clouds,
With sparkling gleams of pink,
There I see her night and day,
With raven open or closed- in the sky way!

Her smile has returned,
And so has the pink in the cheek,
The naughty eyes are asking for…
More and more of sweets.

Her dress seems to be never getting old,
The red that was her favourite.
She has put on her footwear
That is beyond minuscule tear.

Her bangles are a sweet music again…
Her moves forever alive…
It’s her new incarnation- so holy and divine;
She is once again alive!

I see her distributing gifts and dishes,
Enjoying the beautifully lit bloom.
The neighbourhood is full of joy,
For she is so pixie and coy!

She peeps out of the kitchen,
With few lamps and candle bits,
Looks at her Heart and tells him,
To be there throughout the din.

Her Heart is elated now.
He knows she has no pains;
She is cured fully-
No scope for melancholic rains.

Infinitely, there she goes away
She seems to me a fairy tale,
Fathoms far is life’s pale
She is living forever in bliss!

I thank her for being here-
Can feel her hand on my brow;
It’s only her touch that makes me feel so free,
So softly palpably with my Eternal Spree.

The Racing Confusion

Just tied up in this race of mazes,
One calls for interviews and the other for present work laces;
Feeling really tied up and in a fix,
For the absence of leisure in this diverse duty mix.

I wish I were a fairy,
Independent of my daily diary;
Wish could fly over lilies and different hues,
And come out of this flustering work curfews.

I wish I could just lie in my father's lap,
Play with him minus the mundane wrap;
Shading the walls in my room,
Want to enjoy the flight on my personal broom.

I wish I were a mermaid- delicate and free,
Could go helping like the sea princess on an endless spree;
With the blue around me and not a sad soul,
Wish could ever feel like a free spirit playing only my heart's role.

I wish I were an eagle- soaring high on my wings,
Just touching heights without the restricting rings;
Going beyond the human eyes, yet able to see theirs,
Would have felt like a semi goddess, with an exceptionally high prowess.

Mankind so stuck in this worldly web,
It seems it's busy timelessly, timeless;
Wish we realized what we are missing,
It is like every day death kissing.

I wish I could just open my arms,
And fly high with no mobile alarms;
I wish my heart was full of divine energy,
With no office courts, regulations and the Clergy.

The Rage Of Ambition

This mind has got a rush within,
It just doesn't keep still.
It's so full of thoughts gushing everywhere,
Sometimes on the land and others zooming in the air.
Ideas and strategies going wild,
The potential and strength on a high glide.

The rage is just not in the gray,
It has seeped in the stream and is wading its way.
The throbs in the heart,
Are just waiting to blast.
Energy, excitement and zest,
Craving to celebrate the triumph after the test.

The hand is on the scepter,
The eyes on the throne.
Behold- Ye Earth, Seas and Sky!
Ye Sun, Death and God- Stand by!
Here, is Life rising on Your ashes,
Fiercely rocketing high, no batting the lashes.

It is time to rig up the mast,
To start the journey to reach first, the point last.
One needs to be steady yet very fast,
To live life in many infinite casts.
Yet to remember the mere Humanness,
In the end, feel the unsuppressed Transgress!

Yours Fiercely Yet Lovingly, Red...

Undeterred the Red charges ahead...
The Red has dreams to fulfill;
Fearlessly ready to raid,
She keeps her instincts strong to kill.

She falls a few times,
Only to rise back again;
Enjoying her roller coaster ride,
She goes on charging even in the rain.

Despairs, failures, battles,
Have always been her play;
With guns in brains- she rattles,
And gallantly wades her way.

Strong, confident, powerful, yet soft,
What a blend of hues in her!
She sleeps on peril as her cot,
Yet see with closed eyes, fairies with myrrh.

She fights like gladiators,
And dances like princesses!
She wins head held high on her gaiters,
But, her love, she wonderfully caresses.

She lives to die like a brave heart,
And dies to live like a brave soul;
She was born never to be hurt,
And to enjoy devouring storms in her soup bowl.

Today, she is at a cross juncture,
Slightly, opaque for her eyes;
Yet, knowing her, I'm sure,
Her gait is firm, and decisions wise.

The Red will never let herself down,
And be the triumph on fire too;
The Red shall always be the Crown,
And be Red forever- only because of You!

A Special Twang, Strum and Hum....!!!

This is about the music called life,
Not wandering alone aloof in the night.

This is about rhyme in the air,
Just because she knows you are there.

The fancy pink and the bright red,
She has rose petals strewn all over her bed.

The twinkling eyes and the blushing cheeks,
Shows her joy and happiness at their peaks.

The diamond that hangs in her lace,
Sparkles as much as her own grace.

She lived for him and died for him-
Here she relives once again for him.

She is mass and he is her class,
She finds him embedded in every grain & grass.

The ship with only sail and no anchor,
Needless to say is merely a strange canker.

She sails with her anchor crowned on top,
Proudly she walks with no worries to crop.

It is the beautiful music of life in them,
Making them forever united and one...

Adieu to the cold, and here she welcomes the warmth,
With a special twang, strum and hum!!!

Freshly Painted!!!

"These are the golden thoughts, melting away,
...of the unquenched queen!!!"

Sunday 21 September 2008

Together

Light is in distress,
She is shrieking with fear;
It is too heavy to regress,
The way does not seem clear.

She gives birth to shadow,
In turn the shade devours her;
She has stooped a level too low,
Fighting with the darker colours.

Light could not remain in her hue,
Muddled by a million steps;
Her friends very few,
Could only cause a thousand missteps.

She wants to leave her body,
She wants to leave her souls;
She is trapped by darkness,
Her red throbs have countless wholes.

The starry dark comes over her,
Beneath she lies under his weight;
Unknown with her faith going blur,
Darkness does not know what he ate.

The darkness has crept into her cave,
Attacking the whiteness of light so pure;
There is no one to witness and no one to save,
She needs a source for her to cure.

This darkness is crude,
Wish if he could know-
Together is the only way of the prude
In which they can really glow!

Bare and nude she goes...

Without a cover,
She wanders lonely with her eyes blank.
The eyes which once used to be,
The ocean of musical colours.

Without a cover,
She is lost in her random thoughts.
Thoughts which once had,
The beauty of light personifying life.

Without a cover,
She lies bare on her bed,
In bruises and pain;
Eons ago, they used to be flowery petals.

There is no light in the room,
It's only a bleak dark ghost;
That keeps threatening her
Of solitude so well known.

It was pretense,
That gave her hope;
Only to take it back from her,
The strength she ever had.

Nude and broken,
She lies on her bed.
No feelings
Not a single sign of emotion.

Nude her feelings are,
But no one can see them.
Nude her form is,
And he has eaten her.

Nude she lies like a rock,
With no wants and needs.
The games God played,
Shall never be forgiven.

Death shall wrap her slowly,
She will feel the warmth
Of the close ones
Who loved her unconditionally.

Nude- she will be buried,
In the hearth of earth unknown.
Not letting the rains know
Her existence- unnoticed she goes.

Nude she was born,
Only to seek for a cover;
All but she failed,
So bare and nude... she goes.

Unaware...!

She was feeling intense pain,
When I was about to bloom in the world!
But I was unaware!

Human instinct embraced her in my form,
She smiled with content oozing out;
It was a new life for her!

She had dreams in her eyes that sparkled,
With the sparkle of zestful hope;
To nourish the soul that just woke up to the new world!

My previous home was really cozy,
Protected with her red and vitality;
I cried the moment the Air laid its hand on me.

But a smooth touch sashayed me,
It was a memoir of my old home,
It was her hand but I was unaware.

I mumbled a few strange words,
And heard a happy laughter,
It was she hugging me but I was unaware.

I learnt to wobbly stand on my feet,
But only because of her soft finger,
It was security but I was unaware.

And ouch! I cried…
I bruised me knee- droplets of water were on me;
Not mine- She cried at our common red!

She burnt a candle and left the fire,
No current and an exam on head;
She taught me to win in the battles of life but I was unaware!

With a trophy in my hand,
Cutting through the aisle, I jumped on her lap,
Amazingly, she cried and laughed together!

When I quivered with fear,
Her hand was like a feather on my head,
And was like warm red in my heart.

She sent me to fly here,
Not anticipating she would need my wings,
I was unaware.

I was on my own,
And fine and yes, a winner;
And she was proud of her red.

She was living for me,
To give me what no one could,
But I was unaware!

She was feeling intense pain,
When on the verge of agonized wither,
I was unaware.

“Betu…! I am missing you”
“Deepu… I am missing you”
I was unaware.

She was feeling intense pain,
I saw her in the blues and whites,
I was unaware.

Not letting grief meet me…
Not letting me be aware;
I was unaware!

At last she blinked,
Oh! Did she see me?
I am unaware!!!

She is the beating heart in me,
She is no one but a mother...
The unconditional love about whom I was unaware!

Some colours from my childhood archive...

Hey .... I went back home and found an old Holidays Homework Diary which won the creativity award when I was in 9th standard... just a few snapshots from the same...

That is my childhood fervency for colours... Hope I am able to rekindle in the form of murals which i wanna master in the coming times...
